Schedule a Campus Visit

Many opportunities exist at the University of Missouri for your involvement. From participation in on-campus recruiting events and classroom presentations to advertising in the college newspapers, you can create a buzz about your organization on campus by being visible. Career services can also help you strategize and promote your company and job vacancies.

On-Campus Interviews
On-campus interviews help employers identify candidates early, access diverse applicants, meet faculty and staff, and increase your organization's visibility.

Information Sessions
Schedule an information session to increase your visibility at the University of Missouri. These events are a great way to promote your organization's opportunities, culture, history, structure, and employee benefits in order to engage current or future applicants.

Career Fairs
The University of Missouri sponsors several industry-specific career fairs each semester to provide employers a way to find top talent to meet your recruiting needs. Click here to learn about upcoming career fairs, registration details, and contact information.

Advertising On-Campus
There are many places to advertise your company at the University of Missouri. Indoor and outdoor bulletin boards are open to the public and are available in a variety of locations. For campus events such as an information session, employers can advertise on the HireMizzouTigers.com events calendar (contact the appropriate career office you are working with to do so). Finally, there are a few key campus publications where you can advertise:

  • Missourian: Daily newspaper for campus and local community, (573) 882-5714
  • Maneater: Bi-weekly newspaper for students, (573) 882-5500

Classroom Visits
Many members of faculty are open to employers making announcements and serving as guest lecturers in the classroom. We do ask that employers contact the appropriate career services office to make initial contact with faculty.

Sponsorship of Student Organizations
MU offers a wide variety of professional, social, and special interest organizations for student involvement. Links to these organizations and/or contact information can be found at the ORG (Organization Resource Group) website.

Speaking Engagements/Workshops
Employers can conduct skill-based workshops for students on-campus. In these workshops, employers cover topics such as résumé critiques, interviews, a day in the life, etc. These workshops allow students to gain firsthand knowledge from those in the industry.

Etiquette Dinners
Sponsoring an etiquette dinner is a great way to promote your company while networking and teaching students important skills. Students will learn the proper way to present themselves professionally, greet others, socialize, and dine during a job interview, business meeting, or formal affair.

Mock Interview/Résumé Review Days
Employers are welcome to arrange or participate in day-long events that help students improve their interview skills and résumés. The face-to-face interactions and investment of time will brand your company as an employer of choice among Mizzou students.

Corporate Field Trips
Hosting a student group for a company site visit is a great way for you to share information about your company and help students prepare for the transition to the working world. It is also an excellent way to meet Mizzou's top talent.
